What can you expect during an Active Directory Audit?
Our Microsoft Active Directory experts will undertake a three phased approach to examine your current Active Directory implementation and assess it against best practice. Through data collection, analysis and review; you will be presented with any security / technical issues or problems, and identify potential solutions that are to be addressed.
1. Data Collection
In order to discover any issues and to gain a better understanding of your Active Directory environment, Maxima use accredited data-gathering tools.
We examine in depth the following areas:
- Domain Structure
- Trusts
- Domain Naming System
- AD Sites and Services
- Group Policy*
- Organisational Unit Structure and Performance
- Group Memberships
- Naming Methodology
- Backup and Recovery
- Logging
- Physical Server Health, Performance, and Security
(*Group Policies can be further audited as part of the Maxima Group Policy Audit)
2. Data Analysis
All data that was collected will be tabulated and then an in-depth report will be generated that will go through each area of the Active Directory Audit. This report will identify any issues / problems and the recommendations required to resolve any issues.
3. Review
Once the report has been generated, Maxima Ireland will review the details of the Audit with you, the customer. In this review meeting you will be presented with the findings and discuss any potential solutions that are to be addressed.
